Wynwood real estate guide: prices, pros & cons, risks
Miami's arts district: murals, galleries, breweries and restaurants in former warehouses — now with a new generation of lofts and boutique condos.
Living in Wynwood
Once a district of warehouses and garment factories, Wynwood is now known worldwide for its murals — the Wynwood Walls in particular — along with galleries, design studios, breweries, cafés and some of Miami's busiest restaurants. It sits between Midtown, Edgewater and Downtown, so the Design District and the bay are close.
It's lively day and night, which suits people who want energy and walkability rather than quiet.
Wynwood real estate
For-sale inventory is limited: a handful of loft-style and boutique condominium buildings, plus newer mixed-use projects where some units are sold rather than rented. Buyers often compete for the few lofts that come up, and nearby Edgewater and Midtown offer more choice at similar price points.
Investment angle
Wynwood's popularity with visitors and people working nearby supports rental demand, and some newer buildings were designed with flexible rental policies. As always, we confirm the building's leasing rules, projected fees and zoning before you buy.
